Co-Founder and CEO of Vaayu, the world’s first automated carbon software for retailers, named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2022.

A regular contributor to thought leadership panels, Namrata was listed in TechRound’s Top BAME 50 Under 50 Entrepreneurs 2022 and EU Startups Most Influential Women in the Startup and Venture Capital Space. She has appeared on Bloomberg and been featured in Vogue Business, Business of Fashion and Wired. Nam is also a guest judge for The Lovie Awards and TechRound. Vaayu was named one of Fast Company’s 2022 Next Big Things in Tech and also won the Europas 2022 Hottest Climate Tech/Sustainability Startup Award.

Her 20 year career has spanned the Arcadia Group and leading global retailer Zalando, causing her to find a critical gap in the market for a real-time, carbon-tracking tool to speed up reduction at scale. Since launching Vaayu, Namrata has successfully raised over $13 million in funding and onboarded more than 50 global brands including Klarna, Missoma, Vinted, Lick, Ace & Tate, Asket and Wunderman Thompson Commerce. The goal is to put carbon at the forefront of decision making and empower retailers to avoid 1 gigaton of carbon by 2030.

Namrata has a Master’s in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London and spent time at the International Business Leaders Forum working for the United Nations Forum on Forests, as well as KPMG. She also co-founded the organic skincare company Nalen Ayurveda in 2019.
